Dunlop Firesafe multispiral hydraulic hose assemblies for use in hazardous applications where the continuity of hydraulic services is essential during emergencies.

Safety
Certain industries including Defence, Off-shore Drilling, Underground Mining and Marine are from time to time faced with emergency situations, during which hydraulically powered systems are required to function for a period of time in order to close off fire prevention doors and valve gear, or to maintain other essential services.

Firesafe M640R, which is an anti-static hydraulic hose, has been developed for use in such situations and has proven to exceed the requirements of DEF 47-2 and BS3G100 by a considerable margin. Approval by LLOYDS REGISTER OF SHIPPING, OSG 1000/499, AMERICAN BUREAU OF SHIPPING and Det Norske Veritas has been granted for use in the following systems onboard: hydraulic systems, lubricating oils, fuel oils and fresh cooling water systems.

Performance
This hose is designed for various applications and has been approved by Lloyds Register against: Lloyds OSG 1000/499 (5mm - blowout preventer hoses). Department of Transport 'Instruction for guidance of Surveyors', clause 4.9.17.2. 'Fire Test'. For non metallic pipes. (30min-800 degrees C) (RDI 2951). American Bureau of Shipping List of type Approved Equipment and Det Norske Veritas.
